If you'd like to create a transaction from your property page, click on the Add Transaction button and follow the three steps process.

Dates:
If you are entering a transaction in the past, you might want to avoid changing the status of the property and the lead automatically (e.g. archived property).
Therefore, the checkbox “Create as old transaction” enables you to skip the automatic update of the statuses of the lead and the property.
Linking a resource:
A resource is either a property, lead, or owner.
When creating a transaction from the property page, usually the owner is already known and in that case added automatically to the transaction.
You then have to link a lead, either from your list of leads or your colleagues’. Depending on your permissions, you might see all the information (full-content view) or only a minimal set of information (partial view). In the latter case, you will have to find the lead assigned to your colleague by using the lead’s reference ID, most probably given by your colleague.
When assigning a resource that doesn’t belong to you, and depending on your permission level (“partial content”), you will have to send a “Transaction Request” to the user. Once permission is granted, every user within the transaction can see all of the attached resources as they appeared at the time of its creation.
If you are an admin or if you can see the full content of a resource, you don’t need then to ask permission to link a buyer or an owner to a transaction.
