Sandbox Environment for API Integrations
The Enterprise API Sandbox is a safe testing environment that allows agencies and CRM providers to set up, test, and refine their API integration with Property Finder before going live.
The sandbox replicates the production environment, enabling comprehensive testing without impacting live listings, leads, credits, or users. Securely validate workflows and troubleshoot integrations prior to deployment.
Key features:
- Isolated from production: All activity is fully separated from live systems, ensuring testing cannot impact real data, platform performance, or client operations.
- Production-like behaviour: The sandbox reflects the live Enterprise API’s logic, data structures, validations, and error responses, allowing you to test real-world scenarios with confidence.
- Controlled test data: Only synthetic test data is used, protecting sensitive information and enabling data to be created, modified, or reset as needed for consistent testing.
- Self-service access: Dedicated sandbox credentials allow agencies and CRM providers to start testing immediately and onboard faster with minimal dependency on support.
How to Create a Sandbox
- Log in to PF Expert using a Decision Maker account.
- Go to Developer Resources.
- Select Sandboxes.
- Click Create Sandbox.
-
Choose the API key scopes, which define which parts of
the Enterprise API the key can be used to access.
- Scopes limit access to specific API domains such as Listings, Leads, Agents, Credits, and Boosting.
- Some core scopes are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
- Additional scopes can be selected based on your integration needs.
- Complete the setup.
Once created, the system will automatically generate a Sandbox API Key and API Secret with the selected scopes and a defined expiration date.
Important Notes
- Sandboxes can only be created from the client’s PF Expert account.
- CRM providers cannot create sandboxes independently unless the client shares sandbox credentials with them.
Important Notes & Limitations
- Maximum of 2 active Sandboxes per account.
- Each Sandbox includes 10,000 default credits.
- Lead testing is not supported yet (planned for Q1 2026).
- The Sandbox does not have access to your live or historical data.
- Rate Limiting: To ensure fair use and maintain high availability of our APIs, we will enforce rate limiting of 60 requests per minute on all requests made to our endpoint.
